Rebecca's Joy

Encouragement in Christ through Life's Journey

3.12.25

The Ides of March are upon us. We had two rounds of family visits: My dad near the end of February, and my brother’s family at the beginning of March. Our home has been a bustling epicenter of hosting and hospitality. I have not really felt like cooking elaborate meals so most things have been relatively simple and easy to make. Near the end of the month, I traveled to Michigan to spend time with my family and friends.

Speaking of recipes . . . I need an epic roast! Something that tastes amazing and cooks for hours. I have a nice dutch oven, and would gladly settle for a lovely warm and filling meal.

Books Read:

My Time to Stand by Gypsy Rose Blanchard
For Such a Time as This: My Faith Journey through the White House and Beyond by Kayleigh McEnany
Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis
Radically Whole by David Gibson
Be Ready When Luck Happens by Ina Garten

Recipes tried:
Breakfast burritos: A friend’s recipe for burritos that I used to make some for the freezer.
Thai Red Curry Soup:

Adoption Update: We passed our one year mark for the adoption wait. In some ways it feels like forever and in other ways it feels like it went fast. We continue to wait and renewed our home study in March.

With love,

Rebecca and Frank
